Inkica for Etsy sellers

Inkica is a print-on-demand service for Etsy sellers. You create products from the Inkica catalog and list them on your Etsy shop. When an order comes in, Inkica prints it, packs it, ships it to the buyer and sends the tracking back to Etsy.

An Etsy shop in Inkica has two separate connections:

ConnectionWhat it doesNeeded?
Orders · ShipStationBrings your Etsy orders into Inkica and sends tracking back to EtsyYes — without it your orders do not reach Inkica
Listings · Etsy appLets you create, edit and delete your shop’s listings from InkicaNo — optional

1. Create an account

Sign up at inkica.com/signup , confirm your email and sign in. By signing up you agree to the Terms of Service  and the Privacy Policy .

2. Add your Etsy shop

  1. Go to Shops → click Connect shop → choose Etsy.
  2. Paste your Etsy shop link into Etsy shop link (open your shop on Etsy and copy its link, for example https://www.etsy.com/shop/YourShop). Store name fills in from the shop name — you can change it to anything, it is only shown in Inkica. Tick I confirm I am authorizing the Etsy account that owns this shop, click Create shop. If Inkica says the shop was not found, check the link; if it says the shop is already added, that shop is already in Inkica — email us.
  3. Link ShipStation (required). The Inkica team links the shop to ShipStation for you — contact us once the shop is created. When the shop’s first order arrives, Orders shows Linked. If it still shows Not linked about 15 minutes after the first order, email us.
  4. Connect the Etsy app (optional). Click Connect Etsy app, sign in to Etsy and grant access. You can also do this later from your shop’s card on Shops.

Both connections show on the shop’s card on the Shops page, with a Connect button there if the Etsy app is not connected yet.

The Etsy app asks Etsy for only these four permissions:

PermissionUsed to
shops_rIdentify the Etsy shop you connected, and read its shipping profiles and production partners for your listings
listings_rRead your listings and variations so you can see and update them in Inkica
listings_wCreate and edit your own shop’s listings when you choose to
listings_dDelete your own shop’s listings when you choose to

The Etsy app cannot read your Etsy orders, buyers or payments.

To stop, open the shop’s ⋯ menu on the Shops page → Disconnect — Inkica stops accessing your listings at once and past orders are kept. To stop orders reaching Inkica as well, email us.

3. Create products and list them on Etsy

Listing on Etsy needs the Listings · Etsy app connection.

  1. Go to Catalog, pick a blank (shirt, mug, wall art…), upload your design and save it as a product.
  2. Open the product → List to marketplaces → choose your Etsy shop.
  3. Choose a Production partner (required for print-on-demand items — add one in Etsy Shop Manager → Settings → Production partners if your shop has none). The shop also needs a shipping profile.
  4. By default the listing is saved as a draft on Etsy — review it and publish it on Etsy.

In the shop’s details, the Listings tab lets you edit titles, descriptions, prices, photos, videos and the personalization question; Reviews shows your reviews; Templates saves a listing setup to reuse. These tabs need the Etsy app.

4. Orders

  1. The buyer pays on Etsy → within about 10–20 minutes the order arrives in Inkica (Orders) through ShipStation.
  2. An order linked to an Inkica product is charged to your wallet and sent to the print factory.
  3. When the order ships, Inkica sends the tracking number back to the Etsy order through ShipStation, and the buyer gets Etsy’s usual shipping notification.

An order with an item that is not on Inkica yet waits until you link it (Map SKU) to a product before it goes to print.

In the shop’s Orders tab, Sync from ShipStation pulls in new orders right away. The “what you earned” amount on an order is an estimate from Etsy’s standard fees (it leaves out ads, currency conversion and listing renewal fees) — check your Etsy statement for the exact figure.

5. Your data

Inkica uses Etsy data only to manage your listings and fulfill your orders. We do not sell it, do not use it for competitor research, and never send Etsy content (listings, photos, reviews or orders) to AI services or use it to train AI models. Your orders reach Inkica through ShipStation and are shared only with the parties an order needs: the print factory, shipping label providers and carriers, ShipStation, and AWS, our cloud host. Buyer names and shipping addresses are removed from an order 90 days after it is delivered or cancelled. Details: Privacy Policy .
